On Monday and Tuesday, July 19 and 19, the CERTAIN Patient Advisory Network held the INSPIRE Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Community Workshop in Seattle. The INSPIRE Workshop was convened to bring together a community of patients and researchers partnering on research throughout the Pacific Northwest and had the objectives of sharing findings from INSPIRE project work, advancing learning about effective patient-researcher partnerships, and discussing what is needed to further support patient-researcher partnerships in PCOR.
The 1.5 day workshop included an exploration of the current landscape for patient-researcher partnerships, an overview of INSPIRE’s goals and work to date, presentation and discussion sessions on key areas of PCOR that we heard were particular needs for support and growth in INSPIRE interviews, and opportunities for networking and sharing successes, challenges, and best practices among the Pacific Northwest PCOR community.
We are currently working on a summary of the workshop (to be released fall 2016) but are currently making available videos of the workshop sessions and the graphic recordings completed by Maketa Wilborn below.
